What Is New with Citrix® Cloud Services?
Citrix is currently trying to migrate everyone to their cloud services. Why? Citrix Cloud services simplify the delivery and management of Citrix technologies. This helps you extend existing Citrix on-premise deployments into the cloud more efficiently and at less cost. Other benefits include creating and deploying secure digital workspaces in hours, not weeks, while placing your sensitive app, desktop and data resources on any cloud or hybrid cloud.
Citrix Cloud services are very flexible, create easier management and eliminate the need for continuous patching and upgrading of core Citrix servers. Taking on application access and load management also provides elastic growth in the cloud. The cost structure is also more flexible, as it has now moved to monthly recurring charges instead of annual fees.
Cloud partnerships for Citrix include Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft® Azure® Cloud. AWS is an economically compelling alternative to on-premise deployments of Citrix solutions because of their strength in infrastructure as a service, enabling application elasticity and unlimited scale. With Microsoft Azures, software as a service solution set, customers can provision and deliver workloads, reducing overall information technology (IT) costs and increase efficiency. Customers can also leverage the long relationship between Microsoft and Citrix in providing a higher integration level and more competitive pricing structures.
